Big winds were forecast for today but due to work I only managed to catch the tail end of it. It was westerly and this means a poor direction for speed runs at the salty lake. I struggled at first due to having a cold and not feeling 100%, even got a little sea sick at one point. Too much downhaul made the sail really twitchy so I went ashore to retune it and the wind died off. I went in and faffed for a while before putting up a bigger sail. In the end I can easily write this off as a bad session, even my footstrap positions were all wrong, thats the last time I fiddle with them after I get them right.
