After getting to the Harbour at 3.30pm I rigged and got on the water with my 6.3Simmer race sail and 105 falcon slalom board. I made the wrong fin choice, opting for a 30cm speed fin which was too small for the board. This was fine across the wind and getting on the plane with a downwind blast but meant I could not work my way back upwind for the speed runs.
I came in to change it but could not get the fin bolt to screw into the 34cm fin. I faffed for about 15 mins as the light faded and then gave up. Hopefully better luck tomorrow. 1.1% of 1000nm completed.
